President Koroma Unites Mile 91

MILE 91, Tonkolili District, June 20th, 2013/- The Chairman and Leader of the ruling All Peoples Congress (APC), Excellency Dr Ernest Bai Koroma has said in Mile 91 that anything that has the potential to undermine the unity of the APC should be nipped in the bud without further delay.

He told the people of Mile 91 that no matter what happens he should not be seen as someone who doesn't like them. The president assured that he will not look back but move on as he is president for everyone.

The Chairman and Leader of the APC said that the party has taken a decision on who to represent the APC in the June 29th Bye-elections, and that both John Gbla and Aaron Koroma are full fledged members of the APC. He pleaded with them to work together for the good of the party.

He gave a brief background on his experiences back in 1977 when Dr Siaka Stevens told him that the APC will not grant him a symbol to contest for a parliamentary seat in Makeni. "If I had not accepted the decision, I wouldn't have been president today", he recalled.

The Chairman and Leader also paid glowing tribute to John Gbla for his enduring contributions to the APC, and called on him to help spread the message of peace, quiet and unity in Constituency 62. He concluded with the song Ampa Ampo, amidst rapturous jubilation in the jam-packed hall.

Meanwhile, hundreds of youth have been singing in the township "APC nar wan word oh, oh yah, APC nar wan word oh, oh yah!!!"
